MasterCard Automatic Biller Updates
MasterCard requires all debit card issuers to participate in its Automatic Biller Updater Program. When a new card is issued and a cardholder’s expiration date or card number changes, this program triggers updates to merchants who have the cardholder’s information on file for direct and/or recurring billing purposes. If you set up a monthly payment to cover your gym membership with your Debit MasterCard, for example, Bluestone Bank will automatically contact your gym to update your information when your card renews.

Traveling with Your Bluestone Bank Debit Card
To stop card fraud before it occurs and help protect your accounts and the bank, Bluestone Bank may place purchase restrictions on daily limits and geographic areas. When traveling to an area heavy with card fraud, such as California, you may find your debit card is declined when you know it shouldn’t be. If you plan to travel outside of Massachusetts or out of the country, you may contact us with your travel dates or go to ‘Card Management’ in your Online Banking account or Mobile App to set your travel notifications.
