Community Champion PROGRAM
Our way of honoring those who give back to their community. Let's get there, together!
backed by Bluestone
At Bluestone, we are committed to helping our community grow and succeed. That’s why we are launching the Community Champion Program – to recognize the great work of individuals across our footprint that share the same promise to our community.
Do you know an individual who is committed to donating their time or resources to support their community? Bluestone would like to partner with YOU to acknowledge them!
Who qualifies as a Community Champion? They are someone who consistently advocates for the well-being of their neighbor. They may do this through volunteerism, community involvement, fundraising, financial contributions, and more – there are no limits to being a Community Champion.
We believe in recognizing the good that our community partners do in order to inspire others to get involved. And what better way to support and amplify the work of local champions than by doing good in their name? The Bank will donate $2,500 to a nonprofit in the Bank’s footprint, which will be chosen by the recipient! That's backed by Bluestone.
To nominate someone you know to be considered as Bluestone's next Community Champion, please complete our Community Champion Nomination Form.
The Bank will award one individual bi-annually. The deadline for submissions are March 31st and September 30th. The recipient will be notified within 45 days of the deadline. The recipient will receive a Community Champion plaque to proudly display and the Bank will donate $2,500 directly to the nonprofit on the recipient’s behalf.*
*We do not make contributions to political organizations, campaign causes or candidates, or for religious purposes (homeless shelters, soup kitchens or other social service needs may be considered. The organization may be asked to provide proof of the community project receiving funding). Recipient organizations must be a nonprofit in the Bank’s footprint in Bristol, Norfolk, or Plymouth County. Bluestone reserves the right to verify and/or reject nonprofit eligibility and redirect the donation.
