February 1, 2022: Every community is supported by its champions, and Bluestone Bank wants to know who they are. New in 2022, Bluestone is launching its Community Champion program, to honor those who give back. The award will be presented four times a year.

The qualifications of a Community Champion are simple: A person who consistently advocates for the well-being of his or her neighbor and demonstrates that commitment through volunteerism, fundraising efforts, financial contributions, or any other kind of community involvement.

Bluestone Bank will donate $2,500 to a nonprofit organization of the Champion’s choice located in Bristol, Norfolk, or Plymouth counties.

“We believe in recognizing the good that our community partners do in order to inspire others to get involved,” said Peter Dello Russo, Bluestone Bank Chief Executive Officer. “And what better way to support and spotlight the work of local champions than by doing good in their name?”

Bluestone Bank’s Community Champion nomination form is available online. The first award recipient will be chosen from nominations received by March 31, 2022. Subsequent Community Champion award deadlines are June 30, September 30, and December 31.
